Consciousness
Consciousness
Consciousness refers to the state of mental perception and recognition – the ability to reflect on thoughts, feelings, sensory impressions and one's own being. It is a central concept in psychology, philosophy and spiritual teaching, as well as an important aspect of regulatory and energetic medicine.
Consciousness encompasses more than just being awake. It describes the ability to perceive oneself and the world around oneself, to make decisions, to recognise meaning and to relate to others and to oneself. In many holistic therapeutic approaches, consciousness is regarded as a central factor that significantly influences health, healing and personal development.
The concept of ‘consciousness’ – an introduction
The term ‘consciousness’ has many facets and is defined differently depending on the field of study. In modern science, consciousness is a complex neurological phenomenon closely linked to brain activity. In psychology, it refers to the experience of mental states. In spiritual and energetic healing traditions, however, consciousness is often regarded as an independent, subtle or higher entity that is connected not only to the body but also to the ‘higher self’ or universal energies.
In regulatory medicine in particular, it is assumed that consciousness has a direct connection to the body’s self-regulation. Those who become aware of their inner processes can respond more specifically to physical and mental complaints and better integrate healing impulses.
Levels of consciousness
Many holistic approaches distinguish between different levels of consciousness, each of which enables different functions and approaches to the inner self:
- Waking consciousness: The normal everyday state – rational thinking, reaction to stimuli, conscious decisions.
- Subconscious: Area of experiences, beliefs, emotions and automatic responses – this is where many influences and reaction patterns are stored.
- Superconsciousness / Higher Self: Transpersonal level, access to intuition, creativity, spiritual insights and deep inner wisdom.
Regulatory medicine often uses this model to understand the connections between emotional conflicts, physical symptoms and mental processes and to apply them therapeutically.
Awareness and health
The state of consciousness has a direct influence on physical and mental health. Chronic stress, unresolved conflicts, negative thought patterns or a lack of self-reflection can lead to permanent stress, which also manifests itself physically. On the other hand, an alert, clear and mindful consciousness promotes:
- the activation of self-healing powers
- a better body image
- Stress reduction and emotional stability
- personal growth and resilience
- a better quality of life and inner balance
Many therapeutic methods – from psychotherapy and meditation to bioresonance – focus precisely on this: consciousness as the central control point for health and transformation.
Awareness in regulatory medicine and bioresonance
In regulative medicine, consciousness is seen as the key to holistic healing. Many ailments are not understood as purely physical phenomena, but as an expression of an imbalance in a person’s information field – often linked to unconscious patterns, emotions or blocked life issues.
Bioresonance therapy, for example, works not only with physical frequencies, but also on the level of information and consciousness. Energetic tests can provide clues to mental and spiritual blockages that can be released through targeted vibration impulses. Affirmations, visualisations and energetic-informative frequencies are also used to strengthen consciousness and focus it on healing.
Consciousness work – a path to self-healing
The path to healing often begins with awareness: What thoughts, emotions, or beliefs are at work within me? What unconscious patterns shape my behaviour and my state of health? Methods such as:
- Mindfulness training
- Meditation and contemplation
- Energy work and chakra balancing
- Inner child work
- Constellation work or visualisation exercises
effectively support this process of awareness and self-regulation. They complement regulatory therapy by working on a deeper, subtle level.
Conclusion
Consciousness is much more than a mental state – it is the centre of our being. It controls our perception, our emotions, our behaviour and ultimately our health. Consciousness plays a central role in regulative medicine, as many ailments can be traced back to unconscious blockages or information disturbances. Conscious self-reflection, coupled with targeted energetic support, opens up new paths to holistic healing and personal development.
